hi all
recently i have traveled to AMBALA CANTT. , HARYANA STATE, INDIA for microscope purchase. it is a hub for optical lenses and opthalmic laboratory instruments in INDIA. I seen there a parallel optical zoom microscope.
parallel optical optical zoom what does that means for zoom ratio-1:10:10
they did not provide me the brochure.they will mail me the all specifications.
is it usefull for gems purpose.posting.php?mode=post&f=11# they quote me for $2000 price for a CHINA imported model.
does it have worth for a Chinese model.

Generally speaking $2,000 sounds very high for a Chinese model.

Parallel optical system is probably a different way of saying "Common main objective" system as opposed to the Greenough system wherein the two optical systems converge on one point at an angle of a few degrees. You can read more about it at microscopyu
