Being the sort of person who, when I take something apart often end up with a few homeless screws after putting it back together, I haven't tried doing this.
But, it occured to me the other day that the little cheap UV light boxes: Led Gel curing light that are used to cure gel manicures might have the potential to be turned into an inexpensive LWUV/ SWUV light box. The LEDs that come with these units are 375 nm.
Anyone tried this yet?
By the way, to all of the tinkering married gents here... unless you want to end up divorced, I would highly suggest NOT taking your wifes unit to experiment on.

I have one of those "pocket" models (I don't know whose pocket they fit in ). I used to squeeze myself into my closet, close the door, and use it to check for fluorescence. I never thought to take it with me in my purse.
Now I have a UV cabinet that measures two feet across ! Try fitting that into a purse!
