If you use a iPhone or an iPad you can get a very nice app called mColorBook. It does show a lot of different color codes to describe colors. It is built upon the Munsell system. A lot cheaper and less bulky than all the color charts in print. The latter also has a limited life span and has to be changed for new ones regularly.

Digital cameras and computer monitors cannot display all the colors possible. They are getting better but still cannot cover the whole CIE gamut.

Printed munsell papers last a long time if stored properly.

I will not argue about that but as long as you use same hardware (apple product in this case) and the app you have a much better carry tool than the "Munsell books". My eyes can see more differences in colors than I can describe. I rather carry a software with me all the time than have 20 pounds of pages stored at home. :)
