So I recently ordered a gem-a refractometer from jtv and it finally came in today. I noticed a slight problem though. When I shined a light through the back I noticed a small piece of hair between 1.47-1.48 but it seems like the hair is inside the refractometer. Is there anyway to get it out or should I just send it back?
Thanks for the reply. They were out of stock so I just took one of the bottom screws out and blew the hair away using a hand dust blower in the screw hole. Now everything is clear. Didn't want to wait for them to get more in stock since that could take weeks and i'm eager to study.

YW, well, it's funny. My first thought was to reply to you to do exactly what you did but, OTOH, the product was new AND i had NO clue about your skills in those kind of "work"...........you know, we have plenty of different folks with different skills around here..............not all of them are able to open a refractometer, clean it and rebuild it as it was............... glad you fixed it, though.
