Seeking a source for a cost effective Conoscope or something that is available that can be used to locate & see the optic figure? Thank you ..... Ivanhoe

If I'm not mistaken, our MOD Tim uses a loupe.

Can't make m yourself for that amount... Using loupes is far from ideal.

You can buy a set of two different sizes (A-140) for less than $10 ppd. from anyone selling my instruments. You should probably buy the book "Affordable Gemology" as well.

Thanks Bill - I think That's probably the way I'll go. Do you know where I might go to find a list of sellers for your instruments? Over the years from mid 70's, I believe, I purchased from you when you were located at Castro Valley.

Have the "Affordable Gemology" some reprints "Video Spectroscopy" however I have a lot and a long way to go learn the precepts. Appreciate the thoughts & suggestions. IV
