Post subject: Any interest in graver sharpening disc for faceting machine

I design and manufacture specialty sintered and soon plated faceting discs as a 3 in 1(grind pre-polish and final polish). Ive done the setting course with Blaine Lewis and and learnt graver sharpening on a GRS sharpening machine. I had the idea of an adapter and stepped disc system for doing this on my faceting machine. I wouldn't be using diamond as the best way to grind and polish steel is with CBN(cubic boron nitride). I can plate or sinter and make polishing compounds just like faceting only for gravers using a dop stick adapter for the graver holder. Looking forward to your opinions.

I think the biggest coup would be creating a "dop" adapter to hold the gravers, as the faceting machine would be great for dialing in a consistent angle for sharpening gravers. If I had that, I'd be happy. I don't know that I'd buy a purpose-built lap, unless it were fairly inexpensive, as I don't find myself sharpening my gravers that often (cuz I don't use them terribly often).

The idea of a lap is excellent, but a lot of jewellers in the U.K. now use tungsten carbide gravers, would boron nitride still be O.K.? Dop adapter would also be excellent, keep me posted.
