Really strange question I know a lot of folks have different hobbies.

Well up in Alaska I went to the fur Runde and bought some muskrats to tinker with tanning.

I finished the tanning process and have some for that I'm going to use to probably make some gloves but I don't really need the muskrat faces so I've got some pieces of the muskrat that have been brined, prickled, tanned and oiled that have some of the whiskers in for a left.

I could throw away but I figured it somebody who ties flies might be interested in some little bits of script for and whiskers if anyone is interested email me or send me a pm and i can mail then to you. It is a small handful.

As an fyi i used safety pickle,ez 100 tan and pro plus if you want to know.

Ha! I just offered up porcupine quills on a knapping site. I've tied flies since I was 8 Muskrat is a staple for nymphs. I dont think I have ever used a whisker. I am a dry fly and terrestrial enthusiast. But I can honestly say the biggest fish have been caught on nymphs and streamers. My favorite is a simple red body with a white calftail overwing from 10 to 2 catches everything.

Glad to hear muskrats a staple for something.

There is quite a bit of for pieces with this so it's more than just the whiskers

If you're interested let me know and I'll stick it in the mail
