As I understand it, this stone is transparent chalcedony colored with chrysocolla.
Some of the nicest examples I've seen.

You are describing a very specialized assignment.
Most jewelry appraisers are not qualified to identify and value mineral specimens.

When I think of mineral specialists, the Larsons come to mind.

I would recommend contacting them and ask if they can recommend someone in Texas

We are putting the cart in front of the horse with these pictures.
The first requirement is to positively identify the gem featured. Some inclusion types are specific to the gems which contain them. Most others are not.
