Greetings One & All
Historical Listing of Jewelry Appraising Organizations / Societies
I would like to assemble a Chronological Historical Timeline of Jewelry Appraising Organizations / Societies. When they were founded Who founded them Who wrote their training programs dates and updates
I want to show how some are inter-connected and how branches split off in different directions.
We all must understand OUR Shared PAST and also see the evolution as to how things slowly came to be.
I would like to list all of the Organizations even ones that have gone by the wayside. Lets list them all in a timeline.
ASA American Society of Appraisers is a Multi-Disciplinary Who were the first Gem & Jewelry Appraisers? And dates
ISA International Society of Appraisers is a Multi-Disciplinary Who were the first Gem & Jewelry Appraisers? And Date
AAA Appraisers of America Association is Multi-Disciplinary Who were the first Gem & Jewelry Appraisers? And dates
The whole purpose is to trace our Appraisal Roots and Know and Understand how we all came to be where we came from and where we are going.
Let’s get the History True and Correct before TOO MANY of the OLD FARTS Die off.
Let’s preserve and share out colorful and sorted past.
We need to gather information on various other Appraisal Organizations and Societies as well because we don’t want to leave anyone out of the listing.
Please help me out
Many many thanks

LaShawn you have listed the three "old gard" multi discipline society's however considering that you list your NAJA affiliation I'm somewhat surprised that you haven't included a short history of that organization. There is also the AGS (American Gem Society) which is perhaps the oldest jewelery organization which has addressed jewelery appraisals. and which was founded in 1934 by Robert M. Shipley who also founded the GIA.
