I am in the process of setting up an independent appraisal business. Daunting, scary and exciting all at once. I am looking to open in February and need a master set on day one. I have not been able to find a cutter or wholesaler that has a set ready, or anyone that will build one for me. I am looking for guidance on how to buy a set. Many thanks, Sherri

there are already many discussion about choosing Master Set, check out here:
viewtopic.php?f=14&t=16885&p=174673&hilit=master#p174673

other things you have to decide is if you want 5-Stone Set (Minimum Req) or more stones? also Straight Grade or Split Grade, your budget can help you decide about weight and number of stones you want for your set,
you can start with 5 stone split set and later you can update your set. you can buy diamonds with GIA report its easier to complete your set with them. and kind of a safe bet ;)

I may have something you could use. What size stones are you looking for?
