If anyone goes, I would be interested: It appeared to me that while nearly identical necklaces could be found not made by one of the "approved" families, that appraisers want to restrict value to only those made my the approved families. This is very different from most jewelry -- a 5 carat diamond ring may be more valued if it comes from Tiffany that if it came from a "no name" jeweler - but most of the value will be in the stone.
