Hello
I am looking for some help in appraising a cut corner triangle diamond. sometimes known as a calf head diamond. Does anyone have a weight estimation formula and / or access to a price guide for this cut?

Hi Melicia Gemstone Weight Estimation by Charles Carmona is a great reference for an appraiser to have on their shelf: Calf's Head Width x Height x Depth x Specific Gravity (3.52) x (0.00270-0.00290) Width=side to side points Height=top to bottom

Interesting. As far as I know, the only thing close to a formal taxonomy for gem shapes is the Long and Steele classification. In that, this would be type 16, cut-corner triangle, not type 26, calf's head, which is entirely different.
If this was cut from a GemCad compatible design, you can establish the volume more accurately from the V/W3 ratio.
