An emerald i had luckily came back from GIA as no treatment, its not the nicest quality, a bit light, shallow cut, but fairly clean. Is there any set guide of what premium the no oil GIA would add to the value as opposed to say a minor oil treated stone? I have no clue on how to value emerald, its so tough, too many variations.

This is a very complicated topic. The impact of clarity enhancement on price varies between markets, and with the starting quality of the stone. Generally, the lower the rest of the quality attributes, the less the impact. In stones of extreme quality in other respects the lack of enhancement can have a huge impact. In lower quality stones, the type of filler used doesn't matter, in super high quality using only Cedar Oil is the right choice in my experience.
Thats what i assumed too. The issue with eneralds that i have are unless the quality is quite high, determining the value is complicated. Emeralds in high qualities are quite expensive, but others in the average range, for example a clean stone but with a ligher green or a few carbon spots, then how much is the value impacted, its not very straighfoward is all. Anyways, thanks for rhe reply, those are excellent reads. Thank you very much.

although No Oil brings premium but it doesn't mean it's rare or super expensive, you can make any Emerald no Oil but would it worth it? Combination of Size/Color and then Clarity/Inclusions and finally Cut + Treatment makes up the value of the Emerald. you said it yourself too many variations.
