hello fellow gemmos,
I have been dealing with a higher volume of mounted estate solitaires lately and finding the tips on my calipers are wearing away to the point they aren't able to zero anymore. I'm considering pulling the trigger on a set of mitutoyo's with the hardened tips in hopes they'll last a little longer.
anyone have any experience with them be it positive or negative?
thank you in advance!

I bought a set of those a couple of years ago - no issues so far
(But I don't do "field" work so can't speak to how they stand
up to dusty or wet environs.)

My previous experience with calipers is manual verniers so I
find these quite pleasant to use.
