I need a polarizing filter for my refractometer because it doesn't have one. Can I use any filter like a $4 camera polarizing filter from Amazon? GIA sells them but their like $50!!!!

Also random question, does anyone know a place in Bangkok to get RI Liquid? 1.81. GIA is $150 for 10ml. Cargille is $200 with shipping. :(

of course you can use any suitable filter but be careful to choose a "linear polarizer" filter (marked "PL") instead the nowadays most common "circular Polarizer" ones.
