I picked one of these up at the JCK show last weekend. It looks a little expensive at first, but when I compared to the other system that were at the show, it is at the lower end. It produces amazing quality images, videos, and GIFs of both loose stones and finished jewelry. Set up to produce superb images with your cell phone camera in seconds, and/or high resolution images with your digital camera. Nice even light of course, but the most difficult thing is to get colors right. This one does that better than any of the other systems I saw at the show. If you need such a capability for appraisals, or on-line images I think this is a good choice.

Take a look,

OK, here are some quick images I shot mostly to check color accuracy, and lighting. The color is pretty much spot on, which is really hard to do.

They are a mixture of my cell phone camera, and my 24mp Sony mirrorless. I have not tried by 36mp Nikon high resolution yet. For the web, and appraisals I think the camera will work just fine. It took less than a minute for each item. Easy, fast with acceptable results.

The company has some nice samples and demos on line which show how good the results can be and how fast and easy it is to do.

Thanks Barabara,
I'm not really a jeweler but enjoy making some pieces every now and then.
