CVD Galore! a parcel of diamonds between 1 and 1.9 cts has been submitted for testing. they were all high colors but low clarity, SI to I1. Unfortunately no time for shooting the very interesting internal features, they turned out to be all CVDs, look at the cool reaction coming from NV of one of them, SiV content was identified in all but 1 stone at room termperature, no time for running even LN scans and actually not needed for the identification, all the stones were offered for sale as natural diamonds......be careful out there, folks.

I forgot to mention an important thing, all the stones had the girdle faceted and in one side only of the girdle the facets seemed a bit wider than the others, on one stone i was even able to read 3 numbers the cheater was not able to remove....that stuff very likely was CVDs graded by some lab and laser inscribed.....bummer....

Dear Alberto,
please consider cross-posting your cool posts here. Facebook gets eyeballs but isn't good for future archiving.

Dear Stephen,

im sorry i did not, i have issues with photobucket website for sharing photos and i really have no time to play with another one, i will send photos to Barbra to post when i will have.
I know the huge limitation of FB about retrieving info after they get lost in the endless flow, believe me....but i use it for work and its damn easy to post anything there.....sigh...

We can work together and get your posts properly done.
Photobucket wanted to charge us several hundred dollars annually to allow their pictures to be used here.
That didn't fly.

I just tried Imgur..... https://imgur.com/
test test

Well that worked....a pic of my Newdle chewing on a treat.

Imgur has bee the sort of de-facto standard for the past several years. Unfortunately image hosts tend to follow a cycle of growth and decay, eventually becoming worse and worse as an image host until they disappear. One worries that Imgur might be headed in that direction like imageshack before it, but for now it remains the best solution.

The best thing, if possible, is to downsize your pic so it can be uploaded directly to the forum. Pics here, like posts are kept forever.
