Is there any sort of standard when it comes to comparing "daylight" to "incandescent" lighting? There are a lot of LED'S out there now... and the color apparently is measured differently than the standard "K" values. I need some help on this. Thanks

GIA used to use the daylight balanced (6500K) overhead fluorescent lighting stage on their microscopes for daylight color, and the old incandescent AAA Mini Maglite flashlight for incandescent light.
The newer scopes have LED lights in the upper stage now but they still use them for color grading, and Maglite has largely switched to LED. I am not sure what GIA uses today, I still use the same two lights as I always have as described above.
You can still buy both the fluorescent tubes and the flashlight.
