Other than the possible slag, these all look like what I use to pick up as river rock - rounded pieces of granite, quartz, silicious rhyolite, rust stained stuff, etc. But hey, once I found a very small pebble of actual rose (not rust stained) quartz! There were some pegmatites in the area.

When I was 7 or so I would ask my parents what they were - "Leaverite - leaverite there and don't bring them home!" A few decent quartz crystals up to 4 pounds did manage to follow me home.

There are some inexpensive books available with lots of pictures of rocks, minerals and gems. Might be a worthwhile investment.

And, no, the white stone is not diamond.
