Hello All,
Is anyone aware of a complete listing of spectrum readings? I am a GG student and they do not have a complete range of spectrums. It seems like there must be a good source I haven't yet found.
I appreciate any input.

hi

This book contains a wide section of spectrums and it's really a great resource for gem ID.
ciao

You must remember the color (spectrum) of most allochromatic gemstones is a result of traces of "impurities" and is probably unique for each specimen.
There is no typical spectrum of tourmaline except that of acroite, and that is not too exciting. Trying to get a sample of each spectrum is much like trying to collect a picture of all known inclusions—a never ending task. :(
