Hi Lucy:

Latin is manditory in the first 2 years of high school. So first two years the ciriculum is Math, Science, history, English, Latin and french.

If you look to the left of the screen you will see a free Gemmology course (notice two mm's in honour of your britishness :)

I'm studying that ( :) its free). also i'm working on my bench skills. Also working on my Thai in the off moments.

Right now my bench work is mostly setting off the self settings, but i'm also doing wax carving they will be cast in cuttlebone molds (cheaper than spending 10 grand CAD for burn out furness, swing arm caster and all the other goodies required to do it the production way.

Toronto is a great place to visit has public transportion that is world class. It has a tube in combinaton with surface transport that can get you any where.
