Well, I'm sure, as you all known, my name is not really Elvis, it is Jim McCormick. I am in the music business though, as a live music booking agent since 1982. I own Rock Productions. Instead of posting a million words & pictures, I invite you all to my Facebook sites. My personal one http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=5 ... 1485280634 which you'll have to submit want to be a friend to see it in it's entirety, & my Rock Productions Facebook page, which anyone can view - http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=5 ... 050?ref=ts

Thanks!

Jim aka ELVIS PRAISOLITE aka Red Spinel

MoDo, I'm not on facebook. I just listen to my wife explain all the things going on there and think "not for me".

Of course, don't allow me to be your guide to the wonders of technology. I listen to my wife explain to me all the reasons I should have a cell phone and think "not for me" either.

I don't know. I always thought orange juice cans connected with string was cool. I really hope what I had for breakfast or when I took a dump isn't of any interest to the cyber age. (twitter)

Whatever sells, America. Go make some money.

Actually have one of those hanging in the basement. Once the kids of some friends were over, and one kept punching the holes trying to figure out how it dialed.

Another friend of mine mounted one of those wooden box dial phones from the beginning of last century in the kitchen of the new house he built. His wife and children refuse to use it because you actually have to stand in front of it to speak into the horn... no mobility.

Nah MoDo, I'm the same as you. It's enough that everyone can google your handle to see what you say on forums let alone even more personal stuff.

Well People, let me explain a bit about how i use FB.

GO forum is an uncomparable resource for gemology but, you know we don't have here all the people we would have, I setted up my Fb profile just to made more connections in the gemological world. Since from the beginning i refused to give my friendship to old school pals and so on saying "sorry folks, i use FB for work.."
Someone of you are my FB friend, you know the biggest part of my friends aren't italian and are indeed someway connected to gemology-stones-jewelry.
i must say i don't use FB often, i have no time but, neverthless i was able to find infos and met people in the gemmo field that i wasn't able to find and met here.
Sometimes i advertised GO there, some of my friends came here after i contacted them on FB.
There are MANY very interesting groups there, spinelover is one nice example.
So, in the end, FB is a tool and like every tool it could have multiple uses, It's only a matter to find which is suitable for you

my 2 cents only.

ciao
alberto
