I was born in Northern MN and have been fascinated with stone from a young age from collecting lake superior agate. I got involved in a lapidary club when I was stationed in southern California in the mid 90's and have done strictly cabbing and have taken some jewelry courses, so I've done lost wax casting and have some experience producing sterling jewelry. I've picked up a lot of material over the years but had to sell most of my equipment due to some catastrophic events in my life. I've held onto some of my material and I'm slowly working my way back into working with stone again. I'm glad to be here and looking forward to exploring what this site has to offer!

welcome.
Glad you are able to get back into it.
Have you looked into a local club? If there is one close, you may get access to some equipment, our club has a 24 inch saw, one that I would never afford (or have the space for). It is also a nice place to meet people who also enjoy playing with rocks.
There is a club over an hour away, but I haven't made it there yet. I used to have two 24" slab saws and I miss my equipment! I'd like to try some faceting and I have some rough Arkansas quartz I could use. Thank you all for the warm welcome!
