Hi again everyone. It's only been 7 years since I last posted here and a lot has happened since then. I spent some time in the luxury timepiece industry selling everything from Omega to Patek. I spent an entire year at home with my 2 amazing kids, who, at the time of my last post was just 1 tall toddler. They're now 9 and 6 years old and have a love/hate relationship like all siblings I'm sure. Last month I accepted a position with the American Gem Society Laboratory here in Las Vegas in the Business Development department. I'm working closely with our CEO and Director of Business Development to increase our market share in the diamond grading world.

That about sums it up for me. What about you? What have you been up to these past 7 years?

=D> =D> =D> Great hearing from you. The last 7 years have brought a lot of changes to me too. I left my job 1.5 years ago, taking an early retirement, and am now just doing the occasional appraisal. All is well with me. Actually I can't remember ever being happier.

I expect you you to jump back in and weigh in on topics! Deal?

I often wonder why some member are no longer with us.

I'm very glad to hear, both, that you are back and more importantly that you are in good spirits and health.

Yes, sometimes I read the past exchanges on here, and greatly miss quite a few of the regulars of the past. I can only say that, in running the business, I have a wide circle of acquaintances, and have seen in the last five years or so many life changes for many people, both good and bad. Part of this is, of course, people growing old and running out of time. Just as one little example, ALL four people at Gearloose, from July through August, spent time in a hospital for one reason or another, all for unrelated reasons. No, we do not work with poisons or radiation.
We have also lost people who were very active in the field, like Tom Maxwell, and had a couple of businesses close, all of which reduce activity. Some people have moved on to better opportunities also, or changed their focus.
