Hi again,

My second post in as many minutes, I'll be a regular by the end of the day!

I started lapidary a few years ago (at 15? 16? not sure lol) and picked up an instant liking for the creativity and perseverance needed to make a dull slab become a unique and attractive work of art. I LIKE IT!

I've tried my hand at faceting and found at the time I was too impatient for it, but I would like to give it another go.

After a couple of years of being absorbed in studies, I've now gotten back into the swing of things with lapidary as a hobby - except I want to take it further! I'm in the midst of investigating gemology courses and which one is the best, though I am unsure of what defines such a thing... Hopefully in the next few weeks I'll have a clearer idea!

Looking forward to becoming a gemology whiz!!! :-p

Cheers,
macbesz

Welcome!

Impatient for faceting? Try bonsai for awhile. Then you will enjoy the instant gratification of faceting.

/used to have a collection of baby trees, but apt living finally finished that off.
