Is this a legit organization? Anyone?

Jason

Sorry Barbra, I wasn't sure where to put this question.

HI jason:

They offer courses for the FGA gemmology diploma so the easiest way to find out is to email the FGA and find out if its legit.

Jason,

Why not consider AIGS? Please visit www.aigsthailand.com for your initial info about program and detail.

We are redesigning the new website which will be ready in 8 weeks.

Let me know if you need further assistance in education planning or guideline in gemology education. I'll be there.

Cheers
Khuntom

I would be glad to use AGIS but I have been unable to solicit a response when contacting via email. I've tried several times in the past but have never received a reply.

This not getting a reply seems to be a problem with gemology training courses. I sent an email to the German Institute in Idar-Oberstein 3 weeks ago and have not had a response.
this is even more disappointing as Germans claim to be efficient.

By the way, does anybody out there have experience with the Germans there or who has done a course and can give some feedback????

I've used them several times and visited the Lab in Thailand. Their Lab Director, Dr. Laurent Massi, A Phd in Physics and a Gemmo, is very friendly and knowledgeable as are all the staff I have met. They also have excellent rates for analyses.

Yes, very! (repeat the exclamation mark a few times)
No need to call Gem-A at all.
