According to scientists it is widely accepted that mastering most complex human endeavors requires a minimum of 10 years' experience. While 10 years is a necessary minimum to achieve expertise in most fields it doesn't guarantee success. I see parallels between the medical case study findings and gem testing/grading/pricing of diamonds and colored stones. In my view the forecasting concepts and methodologies are identical + great performance/accuracy in gem identification/grading/pricing comes mostly from deliberate practice and accurate feedback.

What do you think?
