It could be hollandite in Madagascan Quartz... (Gubelin & Koivula Photoatlas vol. 2 page 610) or what the same authors describe as 'an unknown iron compound' in a citrine from Rio Grande do Sol, Brazil (same volume page 572)

Well, you just couldn't fail in a quiz with this mineral! The next hint I was thinking to give is: "when you say it's name you see tulips, mills and red lights!..." But it wasn't necessary!
