I'm a well-known uniaxial oxide mineral. Guess?

It looks hexagonal... colorless... it's winter... is it the famous dihydrogen monoxide?

yes

the picture is from mindat.org and it's a very beautiful example of cristallisation for this mineral

if you search mindat for colorless+transparent+hexagonal you find it straight ahead

it is interesting to note that this is indeed a mineral in the most classic sense of the term (a natural inorganic solid that can be defined by its specifical chemical and crystalline structure)

Weeeee!!! I got it right!

Sure it's an impressive one... My only concern was about the size. Man, that is BIG!

yeah, 3cm sized and in perfect condition. The quizz could have been more tricky if I had posted a picture of a cut stone instead of rough crystal

I can't say I can facet it, but I'm pretty good with molding: I can make nice cubes. :D
