You like gemstones?
You like cutting and faceting?
You like Sudoku?
You like Gemstone Sudoku?

The objective of the puzzle is to put instead of the numbers 1-9 the different gemstones/shapes in every row, column, and 3x3 square block.

Cubic Zirconia white Hexagon
Mandarin Garnet oval Cabochon
Ruby Marquise
Blue Sapphire round
Emerald Octagon
Aquamarine Pearshape
Amethyst Fancy Trillion
Peridot Square
Smoky Quartz Bead

Each 3/3 block should be fullfilled with different gemstones.
Neither in a column nor in a row should a gem be found twice.

In the above case the beginning is in the last 3/3 block:
There were only missing Ruby Navette and Amethyst Fancy Trillion.
Because Ruby Navette ist in line 7 in the middle of the second 3/3 block there is no chance for to put in the third 3/3 block between Mandarine Garnet oval Cabochon and Emerald Octagon. So the result could only be line 9 third 3/3 block in the middle between Peridot Square and Sapphire round. Last missing gemstone in the third 3/3 ist Amethyst Fancy Trillion and than this 3/3 block is complete.

I completed for you as start-up assistance also last column and last row.

Next step could be: block no 8
Peridot is not allowed right because on the block above there is already Peridot
Peridot is not allowed left because two blocks above there is also already Peridot.
Only chance is the middle of 3/3 block.
You understand it?

Than you have to search for the very best next column or row for to find out which gemstone to put on which section, ....
