Aloha! I wonder if you may know what this material is? (Quiz)
.34ct. cut stone (Large for this.)
3.70 ct. rough. (Would Love to get a 1ct.+ finished)
Was mentioned at least once in "Gems & Gemology"
Most have one, but few have one with this birth cert.
Hint,......a clue is in the name. maybe?

Sorry for the Pics I am learning.

Aloha!

Africanuk You got it.

Too many clues?
Good job!

I got the rough 15+ years ago at to Desert Inn show in Tuscon.

Would this little Space Peridot be considered a "Rare" gem?
The rough was reported to come from a slice of Esquel Pallasite
Would this gem be Considered "Heated"? From passing through the earths atmosphere?

I will find a tougher one for another try later!

It certainly would qualify for being a rare gem by my standards. Nice piece! It looks quite green for a change, most pieces I've seen is an unpleasant yellow green or brownish orange.

And yes, it was a bit too many clues, at least to begin with, but nice all the same, I'm looking forward for the next quizzie stone! :)

StarGems, just the right amount of clues, since it allowed me to find the right answer

I'm pretty sure that would qualify for a rare gem, at least until they come up with cheap space flights and easy intergalatic mining.
