hi Lee,

Good rules. Where is the chat? Can anybody attend? I have not been to a chat room here before. Best regards, Lee

just click on the "gemology online chat room" section, type your nickname and you're in, you can test it whenever you want, even now (but i guess there will be nobody there..).
Of course anybody are welcome.
ciao

Dont worry about numbering the questions I'll keep track from here.

All are welcome whether members or not. Just click the chat link on the left and choose a nickname. If someone on the server already has that nickname then you can choose it with a Q or a 2 after it.

Good idea to have your questions prepared so you can copy and paste them. then we aren't waiting for you to type (especially if you're a two finger wonder like me)

One other thing. Don't worry if you feel your English isn't up to scratch. We have a policy in the chat room of NEVER criticising peoples spelling or grammer if the statement is clear enough to understand. If you are a newbie to the chatroom please don't try to correct spelling mistakes or typos.

Be well

Frank

I'm bummed that you didn't make a spelling error in that previous post, would have loved to point it out... :P

Nice, so you will forgive my Frenglish... Nice.

Last but not least I'd like to thank Vincent for giving up his Sunday evening in order to answer our questions.

Well Franck, you are very nice. It will be a pleasure. I hope to be up to the task and to the invite... I will do my best to answer your questions, but well I'm just a field-gemologist, so you know: Don't expect me to know too much about the moon!

All the best and see you on sunday!

Hey Frank,
Ditz chick from Tas wants to know if that's 12.00 hrs the next day Monday or do you mean midnight Sunday for Sydney?
Never been in a chat but sure would be interesting to follow, I'd be a closet watcher.

Frank's correct: Thailand's 20.00hrs is Australia's 24.00hrs.

The one other useful thing that we used to do was when the question was fully answered, the guest speaker would add "done" so we would know. That also allowed for posting shorter bits of the answer as they are typed rather than two paragraphs of info at once.
