He's using reverse psychology on you, just like they use on kids, to make you not want the gems anymore, MoDo. So go ahead and get someone to buy them for you, and start lifting weights in the meantime so you have enough muscle to wear them!

I collect images of nice stones and settings so I can see what I like for inspiration etc..

This is the rockefeller sapphire, I like it a lot cause it's cut in a golden mean ratio... very nice..

All the red stones are Andesines including my avatar. Two are from GemFrance-SA quality. The other two are from Amazon Imports. The neon blue- green tourmaline is from Paraiba, Brazil- testing positive for copper and gold content- cut by Daniel Stair.

I'm breaking my own rule (putting up two stones in one day), but I can't help it! This black opal from www.cherrypicked.com is breath taking!

Image

Cabochon Australian Natural Black Opal
Weight: 10.70 carats
Shape: oval
Size: 20.62 x 16.01 x 5.82 mm
Certificate Type: owner's guarantee
SOLD

Comments

pinkish violet with rolling orangey red flash

exceptional color and rolling flash in a vivid exciting gemstone

this gem comes in a very wearable size and is more than 3 years old - well past the danger period of 1 year for cracking (known in the trade as "crazing.")
