I do think that it would make a really cool garden ornament. Maybe a turtle with carved jade head, legs and tail. :mrgreen:

Also the faceting was the lowest standard I have ever seen. Facets not flat and very bad polish :twisted:

Agreed... maybe to preserve wait me thinks... someone from my city did it, they say there are more significant size roughs.

I don't even understand why you would try and facet a piece like that! You'd waste tons of already-crappy material, and you're certainly not improving the optics. Why not just cab it?

And seriously, who would pay that much for it...? It's a giant, not-very-attractive paperweight that needs a LOT of work before it looks better.

Shiny... because cut is most respected, if there's the sizes are same, a cut would be more respected than a cab regardless of the fact that it is not cut grade material haha. Atleast they can write that it is the largest cut emerald. Just the psychology changes :D
