Hi all,
I recently bought a 17.34 CC Zircon from Burma. It is ia very attractive gemstone, and I love CC properties in gemstones in general, so once it was certified to be natural I bought it.
It is very pale purple in daylight, and changes to very pale green at night. I am attaching a picture, but it is impossible to capture the pale purple, somehow the camera only captures the greenish tones. The stone I see on my hand and photograph are 2 different colours.

I have been trying to do some research on CC zircons, however found very little information. Only found some snippets from the 2006 GIA G&G article, and a tiny article from SSEF.
I was hoping some of the experts and collectors here could shed more information on this facsinating gem.
Thank you

Hi
yes I have a whole collection of color-change Zircons, I am working on a Gemological articel together with the SSEF about this subject. You can see a short preview about it in the SSEF online magazin Facette no20(page 19) http://www.ssef.ch/home/ . How ever some things have changed since the GIA article in 2006, I was able to prove that the color change was induced through heat treatment.
