From what I can make out from the pictures, they look fairly heavily included.
I would bring them to a stone cutter who could give you the best idea of potential.
Identification reports are premature at this point.

I would hold onto them as specimens. You'll be even more disappointed if you have them cut.

I would be surprised if these were sapphires. If they were there looks to be at least one stone to cut from them, probably near colorless. Not very valuable stones but they would sell if priced attractively. But again, I don't think that is what we're looking at here.

Yeah - they look more like quartz with dumortierite to me. (Not particularly good ones, though.)

Do a specific gravity test: Sapphire is in the range of 3.95-4.10.

You think so??
I got these stones from a local guy, Near these sapphire mines.

You think investing in such a thing would be a disappointment ?

They have tint of blue .. May be picture is not so perfect.
One thing is sure from these stones, they got these from Sapphire mines.
While working there & they managed to get them.

My Friend,

It all depends on how much you paid for the pieces, and how much you can get for them.
What you want to look for is color, clarity, size, and lack of cracks or other blemishes.
You want the largest, least included, best colored stones that you can buy.
While some of the stones may be reasonably clear, the color isn't that great. Maybe they can be heat treated to develop a deeper color, but I wouldn't do that to a stone with obvious blemishes or flaws.
I am sorry, but I would not have invested in those stones to make money from them.

There are typically a lot of different minerals in sapphire mines. I would not bet these are sapphires. I would certainly do some tests on them. Specific gravity is an easy one.

Easiest way to identify is doing a simple scratch test for hardness. Look up the Moh's Scale and you'll find how to do it.

Supposing these are sapphires, they will be quite pale, included and not very attractive.
I would leave them where they come from.

That's geuda sapphire I think unless the spelling is different in different locations.

Maybe, hash889, you should consider selling them to Ramesh, unless he is the one who sold them to you.
