I wanted to share my newest addition here since I believe it is rare enough to make an entry. In case I'm wrong please move the thread to where-ever it may belong:

Yes, Blue Euclase from Zimbabwe is an awesome gem and now really rare. Good availability in the 80th and early 90th but then it was gone.
I have 4 items ( 0,19 - 1,17 ct ) in my collection. Sometimes you find some in the second market or old stock material. But indeed are rare and beautiful gem. Took me more than 18 years to find a second one - last year we found around 7 stones from old stock.

dark blue - like azurite or a dark but fine colored sapphire.

Euclase is quite common in Colombia, where they are sometimes referred to as "blueberries". Several years ago in Bogota I purchased a very nice greenish-blue faceted stone selected from a small parcel, and was shown a large mineral specimen with dozens of crystals in matrix. I also purchased a few rough stones so one of these days I'll get around to cutting them.
