Wonder what a carver could do with this? I see a great cameo possibility.

On some of our french coins we do have a silhouette of that sort; it has been featured on francs for a long time and now it is on euros. It is called "la semeuse" (the sower) and is a strong symbol of the French Republic.
But as far as I know, money has no significant connections with fairies, still less with angels.
Actually I'd rather have this coin of 10 euros in my purse than the stone. A matter of taste.
