Nice cc garnets! Do you know the location they're from?

I have a couple of Bekily cc garnets, and a small handful of different sort of cc garnet from Tanzania. I find the Tanzanian stones go more from yellowish green to red, but the occasional one that goes greyish blue to red.

I haven't cut many of them and this thread just reminded me I should!

Thanks for sharing

-Allan

Thanks Allan, seller stated Madagascar.

I agree about the Tanzanian garnets, theres a lot of the greenish yellow to red coming out of the area for the last decade.

The wondrous gem has arrived.
When Raj said it would be small, I was expecting a 3 pointer.
This gem is beautifully cut and weighs in at a whopping 0.35 carat.

I took these color change shots with an incandescent Kruss fiberoptic cable and a System Eichkorst Daylight USB LED pin-pointer fiberoptic:

GemmoRaman Scan:
Pyralspite

The inclusions I noticed were rutile needles, in two directions with a 70º intersection, a planer circular liquid veil and some xls, I couldn't identify. Please feel free to share your opinion of what they may be.

Apatite, Zircon, and Scapolite are very common crystal inclusions in garnets of this type. Apatite being the most likely.

Not posted in a long time but a client in Switzerland performed an EPMA analysis on this material so I thought I'd add it here to add to the information
