Ahh dendrites. It would be cooler if it was a plant but more likely dendrites. Pretty weird shapes tho. |

I guess dendrites dont need to be fractal.patterns then. |

It's an odd one. Definitely resembles moss in Indian moss agate, but the clarity and color are suggestive of dyed opal. Very interesting. |

Yes its died opal. But was wondering about the thing inside if plant or dendritic. I had it checked. Its for sure died opal n im guessing dendritic unless dendritic can only be in a fractal pattern. Cuz this stuff swirls. Anyways. The article was very helpful.

Isi wrote: Couldn't it be the dyeing product that went into tiny cracks of some sort ? So you see any surfacing cracks Arms, which could be an entry point for dye created dendrites? |

Hello. It could be. I think the dye can seep in as well since its hydrophane material. I saw another opal with similar inclusions. The seller said it was plant roots. But i have no idea for sure. It would be cool if it was australian and a plant root cuz that stuff is very old, millions of years old. I think ethiopian opal is only 50,000 years old. But i still am not sure what it is.
