Nice Topaz - keep it out of the light, though - I think those are not stable.

Image Check out Trinity Mineral Auctions -a good alternative to E-Bay. Just won the Chondrodite I posted earlier and this Pezzottaite. :D

How heavy is the pezzottaite and how much did you pay for it? My pezzottaites are cut and weigh between .5 and 1 ct; they are raspberry red.

It was sold as a crystal with no weight listed. Based on size less than 2ct. This and the chondrodite are in transit- will weigh when it arrives. As far as cost, this was an auction with only a couple bidders. I have paid more for a pizza pie. Good quality cut stones with moderate inclusions are about $500ct. I prefer stones that are reddish-pink with an orange undertone.

I am sure you got a good deal since you paid very little for it (less than the cost of a pizza is a bargain). I tend to prefer cut pezzottaite with a raspberry pickish colour. I also prefer to buy gemstones for which the seller indicates the weight, otherwise it becomes a bit of a punt.
