alas... i have been wanting to visit the Tucson show since I was a kid and I've never made it. We're talking 3 decades now  Time flies!

And now I'm farther away from Tucson that I was before (Dublin, Ireland vs. Vancouver, Canada) without much hope of making it this year either :(

Oh well, there's always next year!

aahhh, Google. Some days that's just too complex for me :D I was woken up this morning at 6 by my little darling 21 month daughter who then refused to go back to bed... I don't normally fall asleep until about 3 am because I've got insomnia. Probably from thinking about all these gems.

My brain is just a little soggy these days :)

Thanks for the tips, I'll see what I come up with.

found this thread so thought I'd add this picture of one I own. 6.62 carats, 23x11, faceted pavilion and cabochon crown. my lighting does not show the color very well though.

"Medusa Quartz" always struck me as a poor trade name. Not only because of the severe lack of resemblance, but because the mechanism behind Medusa turning people into stone was her sheer, supernatural ugliness.

Fixed again....actually I've replaced the original photos because they got flushed by ImageShack years ago when they became a for profit site.
