I'm new to gemology and photomicrography but here is
what I have seen.

First seen here is a cute little nicely formed crystal of
Biotite partly enclosed in semi translucent Corundum
var. Sapphire. seen at 550x magnification

Next is a sea of tiny prismatic hexagonal crystals, yellow
to green in color, and 2 odd spheres at the right, enclosed
in semi translucent Corundum var. Sapphire seen at 750x
magnification

Oh oh... you've caught the bug!

If I may, without sounding like the grammar police (and having been corrected on this myself after referring to it as Microphotography), it's actually "Photomicrography". Don't ask me why...

Microphotography is when you shoot images of normal sized objects and shrink the image to for instance a micro dot. Common use earlier to smuggle images of plans, blueprints and other things, by spies.
