I have a ruby and assume it is glass-filled because there is a bubble. But beside it is a perfect octahedral crystal. Any ideas? Also, not sure what the black inclusions are. The black clusters I usually see are from Madagascan origin but they are more elongated and these aren’t. I’ve seen the same black inclusions in my low temp lead glass-filled study stone (with hex pattern intact) but this stone doesn’t have the blue flash effect that I typically see in glass-filled. Also has surface-reaching fractures.

You will sometimes get CO2 gas bubbles in corundums. Looking closer you may also find that they can be 2 phase gas/liquid. Could be remnants of flux in heat treatment. Blue flash is rather diagnostic with glass.
