Probably the rarest inclusions in Quartz I've ever seen.
Judging by the inclusions's shape and color, I can rule out the possibility of Rutile or Goethite。
Could they really be Gold?

Sure looks like it. The gold in quartz I have always has opaque quartz, but I don't see any reason that should be a requirement.

Thank you. :D
Many people tend to think that it's rutile, but I know they are quite different.

Wowza. What an oddity! It might be worth sending in for analysis. Sure looks gold-ish.

I have seen dentritic gold habits, but never acicular.
I'd love to see a lab report.

Yes, it's odd enough. But finding a lab to test it is not an easy thing for me...

New specimens have arrived. This time I got 5 pieces, but only two of them have some hair-like inclusions.

Somewhat reminiscent of Czech "gold in glass" lamp work.

Just came back from Czech last month, seem a lot of glass products there, but I didn't buy any, because I like natural quartz crystals. :D

Just out of curiosity -- does anyone see any indication this was inserted into the quartz, and then the quartz epoxied back together?

Most of the hair-like inclusions are well inside the quartz, some of them even have exposed ends on the surface, and I can see that they are surrounded by quartz ,not epoxied.(epoxied can not be polished as smooth as quartz and it can be scratched by a needle.)
