Hello all! I have posted some photos of a ruby of 0.57 ct. I got it to my university to examine under microscope. I want to determine the origin (country) of this ruby. My notices are below:
- Probably biotite inclusions in black cycles (My professor said me that they are biotite)
- Gas bubble in green cycle
- Unkonwn large black crystal in blue cycle (My professor and me couldn't indentify this unclusion)

Any ideas what is the inclusion of large black crystal (in blue cycle)....and what is the origin of ruby??

I bought it from a pwanbroker who got it off from an old jewellery at 10/01/2015. So, I imagine we can exclude the newest discoveries of ruby deposits since 2010 (as example) due to taking long time from digging the ruby, cutting, putting in jewellery, buying by a customer, selling to pawnbroker, getting off the jewellery...
