Post subject:  Odd inclusion in Spinel

While randomly looking at a fairly nondescript little spinel I ran across something odd. I knew it had an arrowhead-shaped crack at the bottom but while changing the light some blue hexagon appeared. Seen from the front this arrowhead shape is just a line, so no thickness to speak of. The blue hexagons dissappear under different light but remain as clear.
Under different light, a whole bunch of little crosses of light appeared. There is not much in the stone except for a very tiny bubble?/ Crystal.
My photos are between 60 and 80X.
Natural? Synthetic? It seems too unremarkable to bother making the synthetic material. I've not seen blue hexagonal paper thin crystals before.

Has anyone seen blue hexagons like these?
