Barbra will not be hosting a formal chat tomorrow, November 6.

That doesn't mean that you can't all meet in the chat room for discussion, so by all means - chat!

I think we covered a lot of interesting topics in our general Sunday ChitChat:
Varieties and treatments for jade, including "ice" jade:
http://www.masonkay.com
We discussed elbaite. What is it and where does it come from?:
http://www.mindat.org/min-1364.html
and touched on Cuprian elbaite
http://www.mindat.org/min-10295.html
We discussed the trip the GIA alumni Association took to Colombia with Stuart Robertson, Robert Weldon, Loretta Castoro, Leslie Sherman, Lore Kiefert, Cindy Lawson, Starla Turner, Suzanne Martinez, Nata Schluessel, Roland Schluessel and Ron Ringsrud.

I pointed out that our 90th member is the living legend 8) Richard Hughes, my personal gemological hero!
GeorgeBush joined us briefly  while searching for China...he's probably still searching....
All in all a very fun and interesting hour!
