In fact, from the many enthusiasts of gemstones, rocks, minerals and jewelry should take not and take advantage of the abundance materials on line.

Be mindful that the industry ugly past -- past paradigm has to be changed as they are changing over to become more transparent in the world we are in today --- and in the new technological environment that are here for all to exploit and utilize.

Hi , I am completely new to this industry with no hands on experience but always been fascinated it with and what propelled me into is a recent circumstance (if you check my post : Contacted about a Sapphire sale in beginners sub forum). I appreciate your post. I have been trying to learn online but difficult to find materials , albeit plenty of useless online courses that cost hundreds. I recently learned a bit through one of Berkley's online archives , but after the first lesson it was difficult as all links/videos and pics were hosted using a Berkeley project called Socrates which was discontinued so I wasn't able to access some informations and video explanations.
but I am grateful for them.
would you know any tips or links for a totally new enthusiast?

Well, if you look closely enough, every industry has a shady past, and these which don't have are still shady! Ethics in business only started to be a thing recently, and "fair trade" took off in our lifetimes; for some of us, when we already were adults.

Anyways, are there any available resources that you'd recommend to learn more? THere's this forum, many videos and articles I've seen, did I miss something great? Unfortunately, I'll have to pass on books as I've got to write a long investment strategy about property in Germany, and doing that is what allows me to afford gem related stuff.
