Just now, I've tried logging on to the chatroom with Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 and Mozilla Firefox 2. Both work fine for me, and for the other students in the chatroom at this time. Of course, that doesn't help you out very much, so...
I will post some more information on how to join the chat using mIRC. That is a program you need to install on your (windows) PC that will allow you to join the channel in a more reliable way than the browser version linked on the left seems to do. I have no idea why the latter does not work sometimes for some people, but that will provide an alternative and hopefully work every time for every one.
I need some preparation time so I can add pictures and make it a true step-by-step guide. It's not something I dare start after 23:00, but I will make it later this week and post it here. Watch this space...
We've no guarantee of success as the error message you guys get points to a network issue, but it's worth a try. And if it allows more people to join the class it's definitely a good thing to have in here. We'll see in the morning...
